Learn about the Royal Kings & Queens who landed here, visit some historic churches & graveyards, learn about one of the first Inuit's to visit Scotland, the Leith author who became bigger than Shakespeare, Leith's very own Rock n' Roll star who outsold Elvis, the aeroplane shop that sold early bi-planes, the Zeppelin bombing raids of WW1 and the golf club at Leith Links, which created the first known rules of golf.

There'll be lots of David's hidden gems, many off the beaten track, with lots of history, stories and travel photography tips along the way. All kinds of cameras can be used, including smartphones. There'll be a complimentary coffee/tea break n' cake, half way through, in one of the excellent local cafes. Ideal for cruise ship passengers looking for a short excursion close to Leith docks.

All smartphones & cameras are suitable, and there'll be lots of really useful travel photography tips along the way. Suitable for beginner & enthusiast photographers.

The tour of Leith & The Shore lasts 3 hours & covers approx 3 miles. We recommend a reasonable level of fitness, comfortable shoes, sun-hat & water.

£250 per GROUP (Price includes up to 6 people in a PRIVATE group tour)

Works out at just £41 per person for a group of six.

This walking tour lasts around 3 hours and will cover a distance of around 3 miles in Edinburgh’s Leith & Shore area.

If you would like to be met directly from your Cruise Ship, please let me know at time of booking.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your tour up to 24 hours in advance and receive a full refund.

If the event of cancellation due to bad weather you may rebook or receive a full refund.

We will only cancel a tour due to extreme weather or where there may be safety issues.

Recommendations

• A reasonable level of fitness is required for walking around the city. It can be easily managed by anyone in reasonable good health.

• Not recommended for pregnant travellers, those with heart problems or other serious medical or foot-related problems.

• Please bring comfortable walking shoes and a sun-hat and water during the summer. In the winter it’s recommended to wear warm layers, a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves and waterproof footwear.
